What is a v–Portfolio?
v–Portfolio is a web–based e–portfolio developed by the vision2learn team. It can be used by anyone who needs a web–based system for delivering and storing evidence relating to competence–based qualifications such as NVQs, SVQs and VRQs including learners, tutors, teachers, assessors and employers. Can I access v–Portfolio from home?
You can access v–Portfolio from wherever you have Internet access on your PC – usually home or work.
How do you ensure v–Portfolios are secure?
All users have unique usernames and passwords, keeping this information private ensures no unauthorised access to an individual’s v–Portfolio.
Can information get lost on the web?
No. All v–Portfolio files are backed up and saved daily.
Do I need to be a computer whizz to use v–Portfolio?
No. If you can use the Internet and email you’ll find v–Portfolio user friendly and easy to use.
What different roles can v–Portfolio support?

Is there any difference in the way that evidence is authenticated?
No, not really. Internal verifiers will advise re: a particular centre’s requirements such as candidate interviews, observations, witness testimonies and questioning. Assessors are still required to judge that candidates have submitted their own work as evidence.
